  • 8 slices bread
  • 1 packet paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 2 teaspoon chilly powder
  • coriander chopped
  • salt to taste

Other ingredients

  • butter for smearing
  • ghee for roasting
  • tomato ketchup for serving

Instructions

  • Put the paneer in hot water for five minutes. Later, put it in a colander.
  • Trim the edges of the bread. Keep them aside.
  • Crumble the paneer in a wide bowl. Add all other ingredients (except the bread slices) and mix them.
  • Take a bread slice, and smear a little butter. Put a spoonful of filling on one side. Take the other end over it and seal it with a little water.
  • Repeat for a couple more of bread slices.
  • Heat a skillet, put the stuffed bread pieces on it. Smear some ghee over them.
  • Roast on a medium flame until golden in colour. Flip it to the other side. When golden, remove and serve with tomato ketchup.

Notes

  • Adjust chilly powder as per the required taste.
  • Applying butter is optional. You may avoid it.
  • Oil may be used for roasting but there will be a change in taste.
  • A mixture of oil and ghee may be used for roasting.
