Fried rice is a signature dish of the Chinese. It is mainly a non vegetarian dish, but today we find it popular here also. The mild pungent taste blended with the vegetables makes it a favourite amongst many of us.
Being a favourite of all, I thought of presenting you this dish. I hope you enjoy this simple yet tasty dish.
The ingredients that you need are :
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 cup beans cut into thin long strips
- 1/2 cup carrot cut into thin long strips
- 1/4 cup peas
- 1/2 cup capsicum diced
- 2 conions cut finely
- 4 tsp soya sauce
- a pinch of ajinomoto
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
To prepare :
Take oil in a pan and add the onions. Saute till light pink. Add the veggies and cook for five minutes. Add ajinomoto,salt and soya sauce. Add rice and mix it. Ready to serve.
Ghee rice and gravy always makes a sumptous meal at parties or on weekends and family get togethers. I always prefer the rice dishes to be prepared in a rice cooker as it is perfectly cooked and the heat is retained, but it is a personal choice. In all my recipes, I am giving the traditional method of cooking,but you can easily switch it over to the rice cooker after you saute it in a wok. (more…)
