Rajbhog milkshake

Milkshakes are an all time favourite of kids.  I find it a good remedy for stubborn kids who refuse to drink milk. They are ideal for working men as it is healthy and filling. It is an ideal breakfast menu.

It was during the summer holidays, we visited a new restaurant and this caught my attention. It was simply  amazing and the kids loved it. One  day I thought I should give it a try and it not only turned out well but awaited !

Ingredients  :

  • Milk 2 glasses
  • ice cream 2 scoops
  • dates 6
  • almonds 4
  • cashews 6
  • banana 2
  • sugar 1tsp ( optional)
  • vanilla essence a few drops
  • ice cream for topping

Method :

Soak dates, almonds and cashews in half a cup of hot milk for half an hour. Grind them together. Now add bananas,ice cream  and milk and blend together. Add sugar if needed .  Chill and serve with a topping of ice cream.

Handy hints:

Freeze the bananas before hand. It gives a good texture.

Custardapple milkshake

Custard apple,a seasonal fruit, creamy, sugary  and pulpy is loved by many except the mess of eating it .It is considered to be the fruit of the Lords. It is a delicious fruit ideal to make desserts.The seeds are a menace to eat  Oh!  boy,  but choose the one with bigger eyes and you are going to love it.

Ingredients 

 Custard apple 2

milk chilled 2 glasses

sugar 1 tsp

 vanilla milk powder 1 tsp

Method :

Remove the pulp from the seeds. Blend all the ingredients together. Serve chilled.

 

 

Delicious Mango milkshake

It’s the season of mangoes. Various kind of desserts, juices and sweets are made with it. Milkshake, juice, ice cream, sorbet and souffle are some of them. But the most prevalent is the mango pulp which is served as an accompaniment. But, there’s nothing like eating a fruit all by itself messing our hands.

INGREDIENTS :

mango (alphanso) 3

mango icecream 2 scoops

milk 1/2 litre

sugar 2tsp (optional)

ice cubes for serving

TO PREPARE :

Cut chunks of mango and put in a liquidiser. Add icecream and milk to it and give a swirl. Sugar is purely an optional. Serve chilled with ice cubes in it.

Banana and Dates Milkshake

 Bananas being a store house of energy and available all round the year, one need to serve more of this wonderful fruit . Here is a different blend of ingredients. Its healthy and makes an ideal drink for breakfast.

INGREDIENTS :

bananas 3

dates 8 seedless

milk 1/2 litre

sugar 2tsp (optional)

TO PREPARE :

Soak dates in warm milk in a small bowl for fifteen minutes. Blend it in a mixer, then add the bananas and a little milk and blend together. Add sugar if necessary. Serve chilled or with a cube of ice

Pear Milkshake

I  tried making a new variety of milkshake and I must say that it will be an affair for sometime. Pears are a wonderful and passionate fruit. They taste good with fruit salads. But something new was in mind and soon I took a pear and sliced into chunks. Put two glasses of cold milk and two teaspoon of vanilla flavoured milk powder. Blended all the ingredients together and served in two glasses. It was awesome!
