Instant Mango pickle

Pickles add taste and zing to the food that we eat. These are loved and consumed by all. Pickles are usually made during summer and stored in earthen jars to consume for the whole year. Thus, as Wikipedia says, pickling is a process of preserving or expanding the life span of food by either anaerobic fermentation in brine or immersion in vinegar. Watermelon and cucumber salad

Summer, I really dread this season.  One does not feel like doing anything. Change in diet is needed during this season. Salads, juices, light meals, yoghurt and loads of  seasonal fruits are ideal companion. This watermelon and cucumber salad is a tasty and cool  snack to binge on. Bengali cuisine with Ghugni Chat

Today, a new cuisine makes its advent here as Culinary Hoppers decided to visit West Bengal to enhance their culinary skills. The past few days have been pretty exciting for me.   Bengali cuisine is tasty and elaborate, they  are good chefs who spend a lot of time in planning and cooking ( source : internet). Sweet potato kheer

Since the beginning of the new year, I have been on a sweet spree here ! My third sweet dish in a row Sweet potato kheer! I recently made this kheer and it was too good, so I decided to share with you all.  Sweet potato is again another healthy food . It is rich source of Vitamin A. It also contains Vitamin B, Vitamin C along with other minerals as calcium, magnesium, iron and phosphorous. (more…)
