  1. Grate the carrot and chop the onion finely
  2. Cook the rice in pressure cooker. The grains should be seperate.
  3. Cool the rice by putting it in a wide tray.
  4. Take oil in a kadai, add cumin. Allow it to splutter.
  5. Add the onions and saute for sometime, until translucent in colour.
  6. Now, add the veggies and cook for two minutes.
  7. Add the dry masala powders.
  8. And the salt.
  9. Mix and let cook for a minute. Remove and keep it aside.
  10. Add the cooked rice.
  11. Gently mix from beneath with a ladle.
  12. Kadai pulav is ready to serve.
