Pomegranate chaat is a tasty and healthy snack to binge in the evenings. It is a healthy twist to the usual chaats that we relish. It is a  simple yet tasty enough to fulfil the cravings.

Chaats are loved and relished by all. It is the favourite at home, the love for it is never ending I feel.

Life need not be boring when trying to eat healthy. We can think of many ways to indulge in good food. When eating becomes thoughtful, our cooking too changes. We are more aware of the ingredients that go into it, take a look at this one, this comes as a rescue when you want to eat something tasty but do not want to eat a lot of junk at the same time. I know, fruits seems to be boring, but with all this topping, it really tastes good. My fussy children quietly ate this one. I have topped it with crispies (sev) but in minimal.

Pomegranate chaat is a tasty and healthy snack to binge in the evenings. Arils of pomegranate are mixed with cucumber and onion and dressed with some lip smacking condiments.

Pomegranate Chaat

Ingredients:

  • 2 pomegranate deseeded
  • 4 cucumber
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
  • salt to taste
  • green chutney
  • sev for topping
  • coriander finely chopped

Method:

  • Separate the arils of the pomegranate.
  • Chop the cucumber into small bits.
  • Cut onion finely.
  • Make the green chutney, if you do not have. I usually have it in my refrigerator.
  • In a bowl, mix pomegranate and cucumber. Add salt, chaat masala and pepper powder to it.
  • Take serving bowls, add the mixed veggie mixture into indivdual bowls. Top it with onions and green chutney. Then add sev to it. I have used both the thick and thin variety. Finally, garnish with chopped coriander and serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 pomegranate deseeded

  • sev for topping
  • coriander finely cut

Instructions

  1. Separate the arils of the pomegranate.

  2. Chop the cucumber into bits.

  3. Chop onion finely.

  4. Prepare  the green chutney and keep it ready. 

  5. In a wide bowl, mix pomegranate, cucumber, pepper powder, chaat masala  and salt.

  6. Put it in small indivdual bowls. Top it with a little green chutney and onions. Finally, garnish with sev and chopped coriander. Serve immediately.
