Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade is a refreshing drink to beat the heat. It is the second guest post that I am putting on my blog.
Continuing with my guest post series, today I have Seema Doraiswamy Sriram of www.mildlyindian.com She is a good friend and an avid blogger. Welcome Seema to my little space, so glad to have you here. She has a blueberry lemonade from here repertoire, sounds so good, isn’t it ?
Over to Seema :
As summers closing in the tons of lemonade that we drowned and hydrated our body begins to become boring. This is the best time to introduce a bit of fun to the recipe.
Here is one of my favourite twists to the recipe…Sparkling blueberry lemonade.
The recipe is perfect to serve as mocktail on any occasion. It light and easy to prepare. The unique colour of the blueberries makes it inviting and special.
Lemonade has been a recipe we have been doing for ages. May it be at the side of the pool or a picnic, this tart-sweet nectar has seen people of all ages come together. Needless to say, lemonades have been a good source of Vit C.
Here are a few more advantages of this ever popular drink.
- Lemonade has a good amount of fresh lemon providing, Vit B, C and flavonoids
- It improves the consumption of water and liquids through the summer days
- It prevents the formation of kidney stones due to the quantity of water consumed with it.
- The drink stimulates digestive juices and aids in better bowel movements
- Lowering the body temperature by providing a good water and mineral balance is yet another reason to have some more.
With all these good reasons, I guess its time to catch a glass of the festive one this time, the sparkling blueberry lemonade.
The recipe has an added advantage. A few blueberries can be stretched to form the beautiful syrup which can be stored for about a week in the refrigerator. Add a few lemons the recipe is an anytime hit.
The sparkling water can be swapped for plain drinking water or a ginger ale. Suit your preference and enjoy this colour and aroma of the blueberries to take away the boredom of the regular lemonade.
