Cucumber Smoothie is a coolant food for summer.

I am on the look out for better break fast option these days and by far this has been the tastiest one, Cucumber Smoothie. It’s ideal for summer and hardly takes a couple of minutes to whip it.

Cucumber has cooling properties and helps to stay dehydrated. It prevents constipation and formation of kidney stones. It helps in preventing heart disease. It regulates  blood pressure and helps in  controlling diabetes.

Yoghurt helps to keep your gut healthy. It contains probiotics that keep your digestive and immune system working well. It is a good source of protein. It is also good for bone health. Studies have shown that it aids in weight loss.

  1. Refreshing! What can be better than combining the goodness of yogurt and cucumber in one summer drink. We make something similar here – a chaas with buttermilk, cucumber and mint.

  2. In summer, cucumber is the king of vegetables as far as I am concerned. I try to have it almost every day and this is a great way to use it.

  3. I love smoothies, I am quite lazy to eat the fruits directly sometimes, I often make them as smoothies directly without any addition of sugar and just gulp it. Cucumber is my favorite one. Never thought of making it as a smoothie. Loved your idea. Thanks for the share!

  4. Oh, perfect summer drink. Refreshing and breezy. Cucumber raita is my favourite and I am sure will love this as well. 🙂
